One-of-a-kind Treasures

A sunrise shell at the center, surrounded by a riot of opal, turquoise, and pink conch. Reef Riot is what happens when more is exactly the right amount. 🌊✨

About This Piece

Bold, bright, and gloriously excessive. 🌊✨

Reef Riot began with one spectacular bright pink and yellow Hawaiian sunrise shell and absolutely no intention of playing it safe. Surrounded by flashes of luminous opal, bright Kingman turquoise, and soft pink conch, she’s a riot of color and ocean treasure set in 14K gold fill.

Every stone and shell was individually set by hand, with tiny silver details scattered throughout the design. Three substantial bands of 14K gold fill form this cuff, finished with hand stamped sterling silver end caps featuring a sunburst design.

Reef Riot is unapologetically bold, wildly colorful, and made for someone who believes more ocean treasure is, in fact, more.

This is the exact cuff you will receive.

Caring For Your Treasures

-To keep your treasures in top shape, rinse with fresh water after ocean adventures and avoid harsh chemicals, lotions, and perfumes. Generally, it’s best to remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or working out. Remember, shells are natural treasures and opals are softer gems, but with a little care, they can last for years to come.

-14k Gold Fill: 14k gold-filled jewelry has a, physical layer of 14k gold bonded over a base metal, making it far more durable than gold plating. With proper care, it can last a lifetime. Gold fill requires little maintenance. Simply wipe with a soft cloth to remove makeup, oils, or dirt. After exposure to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and wipe dry.

-Seashells: Seashells are natural ocean treasures that can last for many years when properly cared for. To clean, use mild soap, water, and a soft brush (such as a toothbrush) to remove dirt or residue, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely. After exposure to salt water, always rinse well with fresh water and dry afterward.

If a shell’s surface appears dull or dry, its natural luster can be restored by lightly brushing with a very small amount of mineral oil. Use sparingly — a little goes a long way and excess oil can attract dust. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners.

-Opal Doublets: Opal doublets are made from a layer of natural opal bonded to a supportive backing, often ironstone. Because of this layered construction, avoid prolonged exposure to water, soaking, or ultrasonic cleaning, as moisture can seep between the layers over time. Remove doublet jewelry before swimming, bathing, or doing dishes. Clean gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately to preserve its beauty for years to come.

Vagabond Sundries is not responsible for damage resulting from improper care, exposure to chemicals, or normal wear.
