This one-of-a-kind necklace features a natural Hawaiian puka shell adorned with a faceted African amethyst, bezel set in gold fill and framed in sterling silver. The setting was individually fabricated around both materials, allowing the amethyst in the center to align precisely within the opening of the puka. Caring For Your Treasures
-To keep your treasures in top shape, rinse with fresh water after ocean adventures and avoid harsh chemicals, lotions, and perfumes. Generally, it’s best to remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or working out. Remember, shells are natural treasures and with a little care, they can last for years to come.
-14k Gold Fill: 14k gold-filled jewelry has a, physical layer of 14k gold bonded over a base metal, making it far more durable than gold plating. With proper care, it can last a lifetime. Gold fill requires little maintenance. Simply wipe with a soft cloth to remove makeup, oils, or dirt. After exposure to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and wipe dry.
- Sterling Silver: To keep your silver bright, polish with a soft cloth, silver polishing cloth, or gently clean with mild soap, water, and a toothbrush. When not wearing, store in an airtight container with anti-tarnish strips or desiccant packs (especially in humid environments). Avoid storing silver with materials that cause tarnish, such as rubber products or rubber bands. Proper storage will help maintain your silver’s shine!
